Marty Pastula

Senior Vice President, Emergency Management

Martin Pastula is the VP/Publisher of e.Republic’s Emergency Management media platform, a national “award winning” media and events organization that provides the nation’s first responders with “best practices” and in-depth news. Previously, Mr. Pastula was VP of Emergency Management and Homeland Security for ICF International, located in Washington, DC. He also managed the Justice and Public Safety Industries for Microsoft from 1995 to 2005. Mr. Pastula has also held a variety of senior management positions for Digital Equipment Corporation, Promedics Data Corporation, and NBC Burbank.

Mark Funkhouser

Publisher, Governing Magazine

Mark Funkhouser is the Publisher of Governing magazine. Previously, he was mayor of Kansas City, Missouri, from 2007 to 2011, a position to which he was elected after serving as that city’s Auditor for 18 years. During his tenure, Funkhouser relied heavily on his expertise in public finance to lead the city from the brink of bankruptcy back to fiscal health. Mark holds a BA from Thiel College, an MSW from West Virginia University, an MBA from Tennessee State University, and an interdisciplinary PhD in public administration and sociology from the University of Missouri at Kansas City.

Todd Sander is Executive Director of the Center for Digital Government and responsible for helping to drive the strategic direction and development of the Center's programs and for providing thought leadership, strategic direction and hands-on expertise in expanding the Center’s services to both government and industry. Prior to joining the Center, Todd served as Chief Information Officer/Assistant City Manager for the City of Tucson and Deputy CIO for the State of Washington.
