Jack Mortimer

As Vice President of Events, Jack oversees the annual production of more than 100 events for Governing, Government Technology, Public CIO, Emergency Management, the Center for Digital Government, and the Center for Digital Education. Held regionally in state capitals and large metropolitan areas, the events address key strategy and policy issues surrounding the use of information technology in state and local government and education.

Jack joined e.Republic in 2001 and immediately found his passion in creating, managing, supervising and expanding government conferences nationwide. Jack particularly enjoys highlighting public sector successes and best practices that can be shared with others via e.Republic’s conferences, magazines and websites.

Prior to working with e.Republic, Jack was VP Operations for Retail Technologies International, a software development company that specialized in the fashion industry with clients that included Prada, Louis Vuitton, Benetton, and Christian Dior. Jack likes to say: "After working in the fashion world and all its superficiality, the public sector is a breath of fresh air!"

Jack received his degree in Applied Economics at University of California, Davis, with post-graduate studies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
