e.Republic Executive Vice President Receives National Technology Excellence Award

Doug Robinson, Executive Director of NASCIO, and Paul Taylor, Chief Strategy Office for the Center for Digital Government with Cathilea Robinett, after she received the NASCIO Technology Champion Award

Cathilea Robinett, Executive Vice President of e.Republic, Inc. and Executive Director of e.Republic's Center for Digital Government, was honored with the prestigious National Technology Champion Award on May 3, 2007.

The award, which recognizes one individual annually for outstanding contributions and leadership in the field of information technology policy, is given by NASCIO (National Association of State Chief Information Officers) to acknowledge innovators who promote excellence in both technology and good government.

Ms Robinett was presented the award by Teri Takai, NASCIO President and Michigan CIO, who stated, "I am delighted to recognize Cathilea as this year's NTC award recipient. Her leadership with innovative programs like the Center's Best of the Web awards and Digital Government Summits has been invaluable. Because of Cathilea, we have a new landscape in this country where best practices are shared between a diverse range of public entities"

Past winners of the award are current Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and former Utah Governor, Michael Leavitt; Harvard University Public Policy Expert, Jerry Mechling; U.S. Congressman Tom Davis and former Governor of Wyoming, Jim Geringer.

Ms. Robinett is the first woman to win the award since its inception in 2003.
