SACRAMENTO, Calif. – September 13, 2012 – Kristy Fifelski has joined e.Republic as its New Media Director. Known as "GovGirl" in the industry, she is the creator of GovGirl.com, a unique video blog about government which she will expand and continue to host on e.Republic’s govtech.com.
Fifelski worked in city government for over 10 years, serving as Web Manager for the City of Reno, NV, Public Relations Coordinator for the City of Wheaton, IL and Deputy Clerk for the Town of Cortland, IL. She also served on the board of directors of the National Association of Government Webmasters.
Fifelski comes to e.Republic as the founder of DigitalGov Group, where she helped government agencies embrace social media to connect with citizens. As New Media Director, Fifelski is responsible for social media strategies and new media product development for e.Republics Government Technology, Emergency Management and Public CIO platforms.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Communication from Northern Illinois University, where she graduated with honors.
