Sacramento, Calif. Sept. 12, 2007 - The Center for Digital Government (Center) is proud to announce the presentation of their first annual Sustained Leadership Award to David I. Moskovitz. Each year the Center will present the award to an individual who not only has shown exceptionally innovative and persistent leadership as a technology industry executive in their service to public sector organizations, but who also sets a high standard for others in their service to their community. The award was presented to Mr. Moskovitz last Sunday night in a special awards ceremony held in Hilton Head, SC.

Mr. Moskovitz has more than 23 years of experience leading large-scale government technology and transformation projects. David currently serves as the Managing Director of Accenture's U.S. State and Local Government practice. Prior to joining Accenture, he worked for 12 years for the City of New York, including serving as a Deputy Commissioner of a 2,000-person division responsible for managing the City government's infrastructure. He was also part of the executive team that successfully implemented New York City's 311 Citizen's Service Center which transformed the manner in which New York City citizens and visitors access government services.
David is also committed to giving back to his New York City community. David serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for The Center for Employment Opportunities, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing immediate, effective and comprehensive employment services to men and women returning home from prison and detention facilities in New York City.
