e.Republic's Public CIO named "Magazine of the Year"

Sacramento, CA - Aug 3, 2007 - Government Technology's Public CIO, published by e.Republic, Inc. was awarded "Magazine of the Year" in the under 80,000 circulation division at the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) banquet on August 2, in New York City.

Because the awards are determined by leading business publication editors, the ASBPE's are considered by many as the industry's most prestigious level of recognition in magazine excellence. Editorial content, reporting, design excellence and overall value to the marketplace are all elements included in the judging.

"Winning 'Magazine of the Year' is an incredible honor that speaks volumes about the quality of our writers, editors and designers", said Public CIO editor, Tod Newcombe. "When we launched five years ago, we were determined to create a publication that would combine excellent writing and in-depth coverage with the highest standards in design and production. This award is an affirmation that we have achieved what we set out to do."
