e.Republic Magazines Win Five ASBPE Awards
Sacramento, CA -- Aug 3, 2007 - Two of publisher e.Republic, Inc.'s magazines - Government Technology's Public CIO and Emergency Management - won five prestigious ASBPE awards at the American Society of Business Publication Editors banquet held in New York City on August 2.
Government Technology's Public CIO, was awarded the top prize of "Magazine of the Year" and also took silver for "Best Feature Illustration", while e.Republic's newest publication, Emergency Management, received silver for "Editorial Excellence, New Publication" and gold honors in the categories of "Photography/Illustrations Overall" and "Typography Overall". All were in the under 80,000 circulation category.
Public CIO is a leadership journal covering management issues, technology strategies, and political hurdles unique to intergovernmental C-level executives. Established in 2003, it is published 6x per year. On winning the top award, publisher Jon Fyffe said, "Winning the ASBPE 'Magazine of the Year' is a tremendous honor and a testament to the importance of high-quality editorial and thought leadership for senior executives. Emergency Management is a publication designed to provide leadership and strategy insight on the critical roles and responsibilities involved in joint operations, planning, and recovery for any major threat or emergency. It was launched in 2006 and is published quarterly.
