SACRAMENTO, Calif. - January 11, 2010 - e.Republic has promoted Marina Leight to the newly created position of Vice President for Strategic Initiatives. In her new role, Leight will identify and develop new market opportunities, strategic alliances and business initiatives in key segments of the $2.8 trillion state and local market, including transportation, economic development, finance, energy and environment for e.Republic’s recently acquired GOVERNING magazine.
Leight will assist in building out the GOVERNING media platform with new events, online communities, publishing, and research programs. She will also oversee content and execution of GOVERNING’s current slate of events including the annual Public Official of the Year program.
Prior to her promotion, Leight served as Vice President of Education for e.Republic’s Converge media platform and the Center for Digital Education where she was responsible for running its award-winning magazine and leading website as well as custom publishing and high-level events in national jurisdictions.
