e.Republic will not collect additional categories of Personal Information or use already collected Personal Information for purposes that are materially different, unrelated, or not reasonably necessary or compatible with the original purpose without notice and consent to you as required by law.
How is this information disclosed and to whom?
e.Republic will only disclose Personal Information to the third parties described in this section, with your permission, or as required by law.
- Our Sponsors. When you register with e.Republic, you will be asked if we may share your registration information with our sponsors. Our third-party service providers (e.g., print subscription fulfillment, data analytics, customer support, email message deployment, and payment processors) may have access to your Personal Information to fulfil their contractual obligations to us. For example, we share your postal address with the US Postal Service to mail your print subscription to one of our magazines. The type of information that we disclose to a service provider will depend on the service that they provide to us. Our service providers are subject to contractual agreements that protect your Personal Information, and we require all service providers to maintain confidentiality standards and organizational measures to ensure the security of your Personal Information. Our service providers are prohibited from selling or disclosing the Personal Information we provide. A current list of sub-processors that may process personal information on our behalf is available here.

For example: if we go through a business transition (e.g., merger, acquisition, or sale of a portion of our assets); to comply with a legal requirement or a court order; when we believe it is appropriate to take action regarding illegal activities or prevent fraud or harm to any person; to exercise or defend our legal claims; or for any other reason with your consent.
- Law enforcement, and other governmental agencies, at our sole discretion in connection with an investigation of any matter that is illegal or that could expose e.Republic or our affiliates or subsidiaries to liability.
- Aggregated and De-Identified Information. e.Republic reserves the right to disclose aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information about any individuals with non-affiliated entities for research, product development, marketing, or other purposes, without restriction.
How long is this information retained?
We retain Personal Information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including while an account remains active, to maintain historical records and support analytics and business operations, or as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. For example, personal Information associated with a client’s account is retained while that account remains active or until a client request that their information is deleted. When we have no further legitimate business need to process Personal Information, we will delete, de-identify, or anonymize it. We reserve the right to retain Personal Information for longer periods if necessary to comply with legal or contractual obligations.
